The Trelawnyd & Gwaenysgor Community Council is made up of 9 elected members – 6 from the village of Trelawnyd and 3 from the village of Gwaenysgor. The elected County Councillor(s) also attend meetings. The Council meet 10 times a year, (no meetings in August and December) and are held on the second Thursday of the month – with meetings alternating between The Trelawnyd Memorial Hall and Gwaenysgor Village Hall. However, every Councillor is elected to serve the whole Community. Members of the public and press are allowed to attend the Council meetings, whereby 10 to 15 minutes before the commencement of the meeting will be allocated for residents to discuss with the Councillors any matters appertaining to Council business.
